Glossary of terms
Video formats - There are different layers of video transmission and storage, each with its own set of formats to choose from. Most popular used formats are: .flv; .avi; .mov; .mp4; .mpg;
Streaming - listening to music or watching video in ‘real time’, instead of downloading a file to your computer and watching it later.
With internet videos and webcasts of live events, there is no file to download, just a continuous stream of data. Some broadcasters prefer streaming because it’s hard for most users to save the content.
File compression - to make file smaller by decreasing the lenght or quality or size.
Aspect ratios - width and height of an image.
Frame rates - frequency at which imaging device produces unique consective images called frames.
